Are my family and friends allowed to visit me when I’m in treatment?

Visiting hours for adult patients are usually held on Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons. For adolescent patients, visiting hours are typically on Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons.

Of course, schedules may change based upon various factors. A member of our admissions team will discuss visiting hours, policies, and procedures with you prior to the start of your treatment, and you will be notified of any changes that are made while you are in our care.

Do patients need spending money during treatment?

No. Throughout your time in our inpatient program, all items and services that you need will be included in your admission fee.

Each day that you are participating in inpatient treatment, you will enjoy three nutritious meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) prepared with the freshest ingredients. We also provide snacks at various times throughout the day. Our menu varies daily, but you can expect delicious, southern-style food.

If you are receiving care in our PHP, you will be provided with lunch every day that you are in treatment. PHP participants also have the option of bringing their own lunch if they prefer.

Can you accommodate special dietary needs?

Absolutely. A member of our team will discuss your dietary needs during the intake process to ensure that we can provide you with delicious and nutritious meals while you are in treatment with us.

Can I have a private room?

Room assignments are based upon a variety of factors, including the nature and severity of the issues that a patient is experiencing. However, most people will share a room during their time in our inpatient program. Private rooms are assigned based on treatment necessity.

Do I get a refund if I am discharged by the director or decide to leave?

During your admission to Crestwyn Behavioral Health Hospital, you will review and sign our patient handbook. This handbook explains our policies and procedures, all of which have been established in order to ensure that our hospital remains a safe and supportive environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

We work diligently to ensure that all who are entrusted into our care adhere to our policies, complete our program, and achieve long-term success. Unfortunately, we realize that some patients will engage in disorderly conduct and other behaviors that can disrupt the healthy dynamic of the treatment community. Such violations may result in therapeutic discharge from the program, which will not be accompanied by a refund.

Do you offer treatment options other than inpatient care?

Yes, we offer a variety of treatment options to ensure that each person who heals with us can receive the type and level of care that is best suited to his or her unique needs.

For adults ages 18 and above, we offer a partial hospitalization program (PHP), which meets six hours a day, five days a week. Adults may also participate in our intensive outpatient program (IOP), which features three hours of treatment, three days per week.

For adolescents ages 12 to 17, we offer both a generalized intensive outpatient program (IOP) and an IOP specifically for young people who have autism spectrum disorder. Both of these adolescent IOPs feature three hours of care, three days per week, for a total of nine weekly treatment hours.

Do you provide an aftercare program?

Yes. At Crestwyn Behavioral Health Hospital, we realize that your time in our care will be just one part of your recovery experience, and our goal is to ensure that you are prepared to maintain and build upon the progress you make with us after you have returned home or transitioned to a follow-on program.

The day you enter treatment with us, we will begin your discharge planning process. Starting to prepare you for discharge so early allows us to document your progress, note any issues or concerns that arise during treatment, and identify the professional referrals and community-based resources that will best support your continued recovery.

From your first day at Crestwyn until long after you have completed our program, we are dedicated to helping you achieve and maintain true and lasting healing.

I was able to pinpoint things in my life from the last that affected my current life and see clearly. Crestwyn has been so helpful to me.
